However, the development process is said to be slow, as the design of Elden Ring, which is a single-player, premium action role-playing game, is “at odds” with Tencent’s vision.

Tencent is known for its success with mobile games based on established PC and console games, such as PUBG: Mobile and Call of Duty: Mobile. However, it also faced some challenges, such as canceling a mobile game based on Square Enix’s Nier franchise after nearly two years of development. Neither Tencent nor FromSoftware have officially confirmed or denied the report, so the details and the release date of the Elden Ring mobile game remain unknown.

Elden Ring DLC still awaited by fans

While the news of a possible Elden Ring mobile game may excite some fans, many are still waiting for the highly anticipated DLC expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, which was announced by FromSoftware in February 2023. The DLC is expected to add new areas, enemies, bosses, weapons, and lore to the already massive game, as well as some quality of life improvements and bug fixes.

However, there is still no official word on when the DLC will be available, despite some rumors and speculations based on changes to the game’s Steam page. FromSoftware’s parent company, Kadokawa Corporation, stated in a financial report that the development of the DLC is going well, but did not provide any specific timeline.
